If I would be the writer of the Iliad.

If I would be the writer of the Iliad I will change the part were Paris fights Menelaus. I will change the events were in the ending of the story will have a great effect. First, the death of Paris were Menelaus wants and also his wife Helen. Second, the death of Paris makes the two Goddess satisfied who have a anger with the Troy. So the great war will ends in a death of one who brings war to save many lives either it is a Trojans of Greeks. Here now we will learn in this story that every decision we have made, we must face the consequence even it is good or bad.

Here now the flow of the story.

Paris draw the first arrow to shot in Menelaus's eye but suddenly Menelaus dodge the arrow. Then the sword fight begins, and when Menelaus strikes the legs of Paris and fell down in his knees, now Menelaus will strike the chest of Paris heart but Paris trick him by using a sand and throw in Menelaus's face. So Paris has a advantage to kill him, and he injured Menelaus and almost kill him. But when Paris tough he can kill him in the last strike, Menelaus dodge that attack and strikes Paris back and hit the heart of Paris. Even Aphrodite tries to save Paris still he cannot cure him because of the last hit of Menelaus. In that death, Menelaus now gets his wife Helen. And the two Goddess Athena and Hera are now satisfied in that death. Because of the death of Paris, the war between the two great countries is now end. Hector's life, Patroclus's life, Achilles's life and many more lives have been save in that death that brings a Great war between Trojans and Greeks. In that case the Troy will never fall and the two countries have peace for eternity.

Who is Patroclus?

Patroclus is a good warrior and comrade. But with his stubborness, he met his end. Not following Achilles' warning, he still pursued bloodshed with the Greeks. Patroclus can be described as a wild and reckless warrior for what he has done. Lastly, based on Achilles' emotion when Patroclus died, I can say that he is really a good warrior and comrade that Achilles might be of revenge. 

Can Achilles be a King or not?

We all know that Achilles is the mightiest and strongest man in the war between Trojans and Greeks. Greeks are very confident because they know that Achilles is there in side and the Trojan is afraid when they facing in battle the greatest warrior of Greek.

I know that Achilles is a warrior who fights with his mind and his heart. I can tell his traits because Achilles is a leader of his group who thinks for them and not just by himself. He uses strategies and tactics to defeat the Trojans. Achilles is a man who has a one word, I can say this one because in the event, Agamemnon dishonored him, and Achilles didn't join the war. But when many Greeks are already died still he didn't join the battle, and just doing nothing in his tent. And that is the bad trait of Achilles because he cannot control his pride and he doesn’t think in his countrymen that are dying.

Is Achilles made him like a king or a selfish man? In me Achilles also is a selfish man because one of his decisions is when he didn't join the war even his country men are dying also because of his pride and for his lady. Another decision is when he just received the news that his best friend is died in that battle and that news wakes him to join the battle. That decision makes him like a king because in that event he accepted the challenge to join the war and fight for his countrymen. And don’t get his pride in his heart because it can make a bad decision that can cause death of many. 

Who is the true man?

In this world their are two kind of person one is coward who is weak and the other one is brave who has a strong determination. And this two kind of person are shown in this book, The Iliad wrote by Homer.
I saw this two traits in the book of the Iliad in the chapters 1 to 5. It shows to me that Menelaus is a greater man than Paris. I say this one because in the time that Paris and Menelaus fight for the sake of peace and where will Helen goes. There are things that I can say why Paris is a coward man. The first thing of Paris's weakness is when he accept the fight just because of the insult of his brother Hector. And the other thing Paris's weakness is when he  disappear  he just lies down in the bed with Helen instead of thinking about the war he made. Now I can say that  Menelaus is a honorable, brave, and noble man because he shows his honor by not losing any hope even he fight in the battle against a person whom with the god and goddesses in their side. Another thing is that he is not letting her wife goes to other man, and he will fight for it till death. This things shows that Menelaus is a noble man as a warrior, king, and as a husband.

I think the person who is a coward is ex-president Gloria-Macapagal Arroyo. I can say that thing because she run in the position of councilor in one of the district in Pampanga just to avoid to face the consequences she made when she still a president. And I think the trait of Menelaus is seen in our present President Noy Noy Aquino because he take the responsibilities in the crime "The Massacre in Maguindanao". In that case I can say he is a brave and making a greater man.
